Head over to our advice section for checklists and information that will prove invaluable whilst you are planning your property move.
We know moving can be stressful, so we’ve put a step by step guide together.
Give us a call we are more than happy to discuss your removal whatever stage of the removal process you are at. Whether you have already purchased your new home abroad or are just looking to put a budget together for a proposed relocation. We’ll be happy to talk you through the moving process or assist you in putting together a budget figure for your move.
2. Property assessment
Once you’re ready, we’ll need to find out more about your move, including how much you’ve got to relocate, what the access is like at your property and when you’re looking to move.
The best way for us to do this is to arrange an appointment for one of our estimators to come and visit you at your property.
A survey normally takes 20-30 minutes, depending on the size of your property. They’ll be able to identify any potential issues and discuss your needs face to face. They’ll also be able to put your mind to rest if you’ve got any concerns about the moving process, and answer any queries you have. Once it’s done, we’ll put together a service specification based your discussions.
If you don’t have time for an appointment or you’re moving back to the UK try our online quotation tool and we’ll put together a written quote based on the information.
We aim to send out written quotations by post or email within 48 hours of our estimator’s visit.
Your quote includes:
- The agreed time-frame for the removal
- The services included
- If requested costs for additional services such as packing and storage.
We suggest you take some time to read the T&Cs and contact us if you’ve got any questions or need to make any changes.
We’ll give you a call a few days after we’ve sent your quote to check you’ve received it and answer any questions you may have.
4. Booking your removal
It can be tricky knowing exactly when to book your removal, as the date can depend on so many other factors. We aim to be as flexible as we can and all our prices are guaranteed for three months (subject to time sensitive costs such as ferry charges).
Call us once you have moving dates in mind and we will confirm our availability and double check ferry timetables.
Once you have confirmed your booking;
- We’ll send you written confirmation with full details of your booking.
- We’ll arrange delivery of packaging materials so you can start preparing for your move.
- We ask for payment in advance for all removals. So you will receive an invoice to confirm the total cost for all the services you have selected.

7. Moving day

We take the utmost care with every removal and use specialist covers and protectors to ensure your effects remain safe and secure during the move.
Once everything that needs to go has been loaded up we’ll ask you to check and sign the crew waybill to confirm this.
Then depending on the service you have requested your effects will either be transported back to our warehouse to await consolidation or start the journey to your new home.
