What Does Being A Which? Trusted Trader Removal Company Mean?

Tuesday 5th May 2020

Are reviews important to you when choosing whether or not to spend money on a product or service? At Hackworthy & Sons, we understand that when it comes to purchasing, other people’s experiences can have quite an effect on the decisions that you make, that’s why we became a Which? Trusted Trader.

We are confident that all of our customers are left happy after a home removal with Hackworthy and want future customers to know that they can trust us as their home removals company. The Which? Trusted Trader status of a company is available for all consumers to see, meaning the information and reviews are available to each and every person looking to find a truly trusted company.

We all know that there are some people, who just love to write bad reviews on company websites for no reason. However, with Which? all reviews are put through a moderation process, much like the trusted traders who have to go through assessments before they become accredited by Which?. For example, have you ever been to a restaurant, based on the reviews that you have seen and then arrived at the restaurant and had an awful experience? This could have been influenced by some fake reviews, perhaps providing better reviews than the restaurant deserves. On some review sites, it is so easy to set up an account and leave a review without any sort of moderation process, which is highly likely to result in many “reviewers” not having been customers of the company.

You might be thinking ‘but this will mean that there will be no bad reviews on the Which? site if they are moderated?’ Well…. this is not the case, as much as the Which? status is given to trusted and reliable traders, there are sometimes some reviews that aren't as exceptional as others. The reason for this is that this gives us at Hackworthy & Sons a chance to reply to these reviews to resolve whatever issue the customer may have and ensure that they are provided with the best service possible. Even if, for whatever reason, they have not been left fulfilled with the service that was provided, it is vital that our customers receive the best service, therefore it is essential for us as a company to have the ability to reply to these reviews to resolve any potential worries.

In terms of the assessment process to become a Which? Trusted Trader, this involves an assessment administered by trading standards professionals, to ensure that our consumers' interests are kept at the forefront of our business. To gain our endorsement as a Which? Trusted Trader, Hackworthy had to pass the Which? assessment process, examining the following items of our business:

  • Credit report
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Business procedures
  • Interview and assessment

From here, we were then provided a report with feedback from the assessors to ensure that we meet all of the criteria required before we were allowed to join the scheme. Following this, we decided to join the scheme, to prove to our customers that choosing Hackworthy as your house removal company is the right choice.

It is truly important to the team at Hackworthy & Sons that you have the most stress-free moving experience as possible and that’s why we joined the Which? Trusted Trader scheme, to be rest assured that you make the right choice when it comes to choosing a reliable and trusted home removal company.
