Survey and planning

Whatever budget you have for your business removals, detailed planning is the key to every successful commercial relocation. Our first step is to carry out a full survey, discuss all your requirements and answer any questions you have about the move.

Once we’ve got all the information, we’ll give you a quote based on your company’s needs, we’ll then run through everything with you to make sure that you are aware of everything and all of your questions have been covered.

We’ll allocate one of our experienced team members as your point of contact throughout the entire process. They’ll work with you to project manage your move, including attending project planning meetings and liaising with your contractors to make sure everything goes seamlessly on the day.

Even the best laid plans can change, so we aim to be as flexible as possible throughout business removals. Our team leaders will make sure that crews are fully briefed, supervised and kept informed of anything that changes before your move.

Crate hire and equipment

When you move offices, you’ll need to arrange for all the small items, like desk contents and files to be packed into purpose-designed crates so that they’re ready to be loaded on to the removal vehicles.

We usually arrange for crates to be delivered a week before your move to give you plenty of time to pack (and we’ll collect them a week after your move). Of course, if you need them sooner so you can make a start, or you want to take your time unpacking, just let us know.

Or you could opt for our full packing service, and we’ll take care of the entire business removal process for you.

We’ve all seen it when people move house that they label the boxes to ensure that everybody knows what is in each of the boxes to help unpack, but this also helps the business removal company to know which room these boxes belong to. A way of making this even easier for everybody is to label your boxes with the name of the room at the new premises and have a label on each of the doors. This will ensure that the boxes match up with the rooms when unloading the removals truck.

All you need to do is fill the free waste management sacks with your confidential papers and take them to be destroyed (costs vary depending on how many sacks you have). What’s better, this is an on demand service, so even when you have moved and settled into your new office, you can still come back to safely and securely dispose of your documents.

We used Hackworthy for our home move from Devon to East Sussex and simply couldn’t rate them highly enough! From the moment they turned up in the morning the guys were professional and reassured us every step of the way that we would fit everything in the lorry safe and sound. It was a 3 day move because of the distance and safe practice for loading and unloading, and this reflects the care of the company both for their staff and for not wanting to rush the job and sacrifice quality.
