Finalist in Domestic Remover of the Year 2009
Hackworthy & Sons are proud to announce they have become runners up in the first ever ‘Domestic Mover of the Year Award’, selected by an experienced panel of judges as one of six companies to enter the final round of the competition.
Companies entering the competition have been judged on professionalism, commitment and leadership and high standards of customer service in the domestic removals market. The Office of Fair Trading (OFT, has actively participated in the DMOTY judging process.

Office of Fair trading Approval
Hackworthy & Sons has signed up to the B.A.R Code of Practice which covers private domestic removals within the UK.
The Code has been drawn up by the British Association of Removers and has successfully achieved full Office of Fair Trading approval under its Consumer Codes Approval Scheme.
The Code sets out the standards that all BAR members must meet in respect of customer service, fair trading, advertising and complaint handling. Ensuring that our customers receive the most efficient and trouble-free move possible.

BS EN 12552
Hackworthy & Sons have elected to adopt the European Standard for removals - BS EN 12522.
This is a quality standard specifically aimed at furniture removals and storage for the benefit of the private individual. We are inspected every year to ensure the standards we operate are among the highest in Europe.
