We are members of the largest and most recognised Trade Association for removals in the UK. All BAR members must meet strict standards and are regularly inspected to make sure that their facilities, equipment, staff training and operational procedures remain at the highest level. To find out more about what choosing a BAR member means and the new code of practice all members must adhere to visit www.bar.co.uk. We are very proud of the fact that our director Reg Hackworthy is currently the President of the BAR.
Hackworthy & Sons has signed up to the B.A.R Code of Practice which covers private domestic removals within the UK.
The Code has been drawn up by the British Association of Removers and has successfully achieved full Office of Fair Trading approval under its Consumer Codes Approval Scheme.
The Code sets out the standards that all BAR members must meet in respect of customer service, fair trading, advertising and complaint handling. Ensuring that our customers receive the most efficient and trouble-free move possible.
We will be pleased to provide a copy of the full Code upon request or you may download it from http://www.bar.co.uk/Code.aspx
We have also chosen to confirm our commitment to high customer standards through:
Hackworthy & Sons have elected to adopt the European Standard for removals – BS EN 12522.
This is a quality standard specifically aimed at furniture removals and storage for the benefit of the private individual. We are inspected every year to ensure the standards we operate are among the highest in Europe.
Reg Hackworthy says “We pride ourselves in providing our customers with the very best quality products and service. Because Kitemark schemes are voluntary, it shows that we are committed to providing our customers with the very best quality and service. In this competitive market, we must keep ahead and Kitemark certification – because of its independence, integrity and trust – gives our products and company a real competitive advantage.”
